Registration for the SIGN9 conference is now open! Please register by filling-out the form available here:
Please register if you will attend the conference as a presenter or as a participant. After filling out the form you will receive all the information needed to process the payment in a separate message send to the e-mail address provided during registration.
Invoices can be issued only to individuals or institutions that made the bank transfer (it is impossible to issue an invoice to an institution if a payment is made from a participant’s private bank account). We need to know that you’ll need an invoice BEFORE you make the money transfer, so please let us know by ticking appropriate box in the registration form.
Note! Conference fee payments will not be accepted on-site or in cash
Registration is valid only if the form has been filled out AND the conference fee has been paid.

We need to inform you that the notification of acceptance deadline is being postponed until 9th March. On the same day we will open the registration for the conference.
We are very sorry for the delay and we thank you for your patience.

The Section for Sign Linguistics, Faculty of Polish Studies, University of Warsaw is very pleased to announce that it will host the SIGN9 conference, to be held on 22-25 August 2018 at the University of Warsaw.
Organized in a number of countries all over the world, the SIGN conference has a long tradition as an event dedicated to the issues of Deaf people, their language and culture. All lectures are delivered in sign languages. At SIGN9 these will be Polish Sign Language (PJM) and International Sign.
The conference will be preceded by a series of workshops on PJM and IS, conducted by experienced instructors. The aim of those workshops is to familiarize attendants with the working languages of the conference to facilitate effective communication.

We cordially invite you to send in proposals for signed presentations, posters and interactive workshops.
